Approached through a grand iron gate and stone wall
and tree lined sweeping drive, the imposing Villa Oleandro gives a more than
promising first impression. Perched half way up a hillside, in our olive grove among groves, we offer the discerning traveller a restful haven of relaxing tranquillity hard to come by in this modern day
world.
Yet the rest of the world is not far.
Vico is a mere 10 minutes drive away. Here the fresh fruit and vegetable market is a marvel of choice and colour and the indoor fresh fish market a revelation and education.
The excellent local butchers, bakers and mini supermarkets complete the food supply options and then, of course, there are numerous Pizzeria's and Restaurants in which to savour the local
cuisine.
San Menaio (10
mins), Rodi and Peschici (15 mins) and Vieste (30 mins) offer a further plethora of choices.

We
occupy Villa Oleandro and it is never let out so you will be
the only guests but you will not
be alone.
For more
than 25 years before moving here
permanently, we were summer visitors to Vico del Gargano. Margherita lived in Vico as a child, her father
is a native, so she understands the local dialect and, of course,
she is fluent in Italian.
We can therefore recommend things
for you to do and see, help you to organise a tour, point you to the
local markets and, perhaps most importantly of all, suggest where to
try out the local cuisine. With Vico, San Menaio, Rodi and Peschici
close by and so many other places to explore not so far away, you
will be spoilt for choice.
Sun beds, bed linen, bathroom towels
and tea towels for the kitchen are provided; beach towels can be
supplied too, if required. You can borrow any extra kitchen equipment you
might need (e.g. pasta rolling machine, food processor) from our own kitchen and we also have a library of
books, CDs and DVDs for you to borrow from if in need - please ask.
We provide
our guests
with a food & drink hamper so there will be no need to buy incidental
cooking items such as olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and a few
other items to help get your stay with us off to a good start.
If
there is any other information we can provide then please do not
hesitate to ask.
We can be flexible with
bookings and are happy to accept bookings that are not Saturday to Saturday
(after all the most convenient Ryanair flights are mid-week).
So please do enquire about availability or view bookings on-line.
